Gamba Vineyards was founded in 1999 by Agostino Gamba and his wife Paulette. The Gamba family has been growing grapes in the Russian River Valley going back 6 generations.
Starr Road Ranch was planted in 1920 and is situated in the foothills of the Russian River Valley.
Purple in color. 15.5% ABV. Sublime nose of jammy red fruits, licorice and pepper. Full bodied with perfect acidity and tremendous balance. Packed with bright, sweet fruits. Boysenberry, raspberry liqueur, baking spices and pepper on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Absolutely delicious Zinfandel. Hard to ask for more. Best over the next 2-3 years.

The Gamba wines are not cheap but the quality is here to justify the pricing. Look for the 2019 version of this wine later this year.
