2018 Fattoria Selvapiana Chianti Rùfina – Bottle Notes

Fattoria Selvapiana is situated in Chianti Rufina which is the smallest appellation in Chianti. Since 1997 Selvapiana is run by Federico and Silvia, Masseti. The property extends over 250 hectares of which 58 are planted with vines.

Ruby red in color. 13.5% ABV. Pretty nose of red fruits, citrus, earth and flowers. Medium body with ample acidity. Bright fruits in spades. Cherries, strawberries, blood orange and earth on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Tremendous value at under $20 a bottle. Best over the next 2-3 years.

My rating: 90 points.

This wine is widely available, well made and a great value. What more can you ask for?
