New Releases from Attune Wines

Attune Wines was founded in 2011 by Mike and Nancy Scribner, Ken and Debbie Venner and David Povlak. The winery currently produces a Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Rosé. Kenneth Juhasz is the consulting winemaker. Kenneth also owns Auteur Wines and works with other labels including Donum Estate, Pali Wine Company and Gary Farrell.

I recently was fortunate to try the newest releases from the winery.

The Pinot Noir and  Rosé are from the Estate Vineyard in Carneros while the Chardonnay is from the nearby Station Ranch Vineyard.

2014 Attune Pinot Noir – Crimson in color. 14.2% ABV. Gorgeous nose of black cherry, pine needle and forest floor. Medium body with medium acidity. Polished and elegant with great mouth feel. Cherries, cloves, baking spice and truffles on the palate. The finish on the wine is very long. The best Pinot Noir yet from this relatively young winery. Drink over the next 5-7 years. $48 at the winery. My rating: 94 points.

2015 Attune Chardonnay – Gold in color. 13.5% ABV. Pretty nose of lemon oil, honeysuckle and creme brulee. Rich and oily with just the right amount of acidity. Lemons, green apple and honey on the palate. Delicious Chardonnay with a long, crisp finish. Drink over the next 3-5 years. $36 at the winery. My rating: 92 points.

2016 Attune Rosé of Pinot Noir –  Very light salmon in color. 13% ABV. Pretty nose of cranberries, citrus and flowers. Dry, crisp and refreshing with vibrant acidity. Grapefruit, watermelon and bing cherries on the palate. The finish is long and crisp. Really nice Rosé to drink this Summer and next. $28 at the winery. My rating: 90 points.

Reviews based on samples provided by the winery.

This is the best set of wines yet from Attune. There is much to like about Attune Wines. Certainly a winery to keep an eye on.

Attune Wines can be obtained via the winery wine shop.
